How to: Apply a sample line colour on a border

1. After inserting an Online Picture/graphic, click on the Picture Border

button.

2. Select Sample Line Color. Your cursor will change to an eye dropper.

3. Click on the sample colour you want your border to be (usually a colour

from the picture you have inserted).

As an aside…This can also be used wherever you chose the colour, for example, font colour,

shading colour etc.

How to: Crop the shape of the picture

1. Click on a picture to display the Picture Tools/Format ribbon.

2. With the picture still selected, click on the bottom half of the Crop button,

then Crop to Shape. Select the appropiate shape.

3. The shape is placed over the top of the picture with the cropping handles.

4. Resize the cropping handles to the appropriate position.

Note: You can also click on the picture and drag it around the frame.

5. Click away from the picture.

Note: If you want to re-edit, click on the crop button again.

How to: Add a picture effect

1. Click on a picture to display the Picture Tools/Format ribbon.

2. Click on the Picture Effects button (Picture Styles group).

3. Click on a picture effect from the list presented (Shadow, Reflection,

Glow, Soft Edges, Bevel, or 3-D Rotation).

4. For more options (for example, change the colour of the shadow), click on

‘…options’ at the bottom of the menu).
